Shanna Kuzdzal

Chief Legal Officer

Shanna Kuzdzal is senior executive vice president and chief legal officer at Cadence Bank, where she leads the legal team and serves as a trusted advisor to the board, executive team and business partners. She is also a member of the Executive Management Committee, which helps to shape the bank’s strategic direction.

A proven leader with more than 20 years of legal experience, she brings deep expertise in the banking industry, including corporate, securities, regulatory and M&A matters. Prior to joining Cadence, she served in leadership positions at prestigious organizations, including senior executive vice president and general counsel at Stellar Bancorp, Inc., executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of Allegiance Bancshares, Inc. and Allegiance Bank, and senior vice president and associate general counsel at Prosperity Bank. She began her legal career at Bracewell LLP (formerly Bracewell & Giuliani), where she built a strong foundation in corporate, securities and M&A matters before transitioning to in-house leadership roles.

Kuzdzal received a Bachelor of Arts degree in biochemistry and biology from Rice University and graduated with honors and a Juris Doctorate from The University of Texas School of Law. An active community member, Kuzdzal currently serves as president of The Women’s Resource of Greater Houston, is a member of the Executive Women’s Partnership of the Greater Houston Partnership and is the former president of the Southwest Association of Bank Counsel. In 2024, she received the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce Breakthrough Woman award.
