Kevin McMahon

Chief Information Officer

Kevin McMahon is executive vice president and chief information officer at Cadence Bank, bringing 30 years of experience in information technology, including more than two decades in the banking industry. He joined Cadence Bank in 2022. He also serves on Cadence’s Executive Management Committee.

Prior to Cadence, McMahon served as CIO and held senior technology leadership roles at both multinational and regional banks. A former officer in the U.S. Air Force, he has led teams across a wide range of IT disciplines, including cybersecurity, software development, network infrastructure, field support and operations.

Throughout his career, McMahon has spearheaded major initiatives such as core banking platform transformations, digital channel enhancements, fraud prevention strategies and operational efficiency improvements. He was named 2021 Alabama CIO of the Year by the Orbie Awards and received the 2021 CIO 100 Organization Award for Technology Innovation by IDG CIO Digital Media. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Tech and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
