Account Number
Your account number will not change unless you are notified otherwise by mail.
If you received a notice that your account number will change, update all automatic payments and direct deposits with your new account and routing number to be effective on or after October 14, 2025. Until that time, you may continue to use your existing checks and deposit slips until it is time to reorder.
Examples of automatic payments to be updated:
- Your employer
- Social Security or any other organization making direct deposits into your account
- Anyone who automatically takes payments out of your account each month, such as a utility bill or gym membership
Routing Number
Beginning on October 14, 2025, your new Cadence Bank routing number will be: 084201278
Begin using this new routing number on or after October 14, 2025, when re-ordering checks or establishing new automatic payments.
Please do not make any routing number changes at this time. We’ve taken the steps necessary to ensure your current routing number (and current checks) will continue to work for existing payments and direct deposits such as payroll or Social Security.
Contactless Debit Cards
You will receive a new Cadence Bank contactless debit card in the mail before October 7, 2025.
If you haven’t received your Cadence Bank debit card by October 7, 2025, please contact your local branch.
Begin using your new Cadence Bank debit card on October 14, 2025. Your current debit card will be deactivated at that time. During the activation process, you’ll be prompted to set a PIN for your new card.
Any recurring debit card transactions will need to be reestablished using your new card information.
ScoreCard Rewards
The ScoreCard Rewards program is being discontinued.
From now until September 30, 2025, you will continue to earn points for every qualifying, non-PIN based purchase you make with your debit card.
After September 30, 2025, the ScoreCard Rewards program will be discontinued, and you will no longer earn points for qualifying debit card purchases.
From September 30, 2025 to November 30, 2025, you will continue to have the opportunity to redeem any previously earned points for merchandise or travel through the ScoreCard Rewards portal at ScoreCardRewards.com.
After November 30, 2025, you will no longer have access to the ScoreCard Rewards portal and any points that haven’t been redeemed will be automatically forfeited.
Statements
All deposit account customers will receive a final statement by mail that is reflective of the final activity and balance. Please retain it for your records. After that, your Cadence Bank statement schedule will be similar to what you have now. You will continue to receive images of your checks with your Cadence Bank statements.
Checks
If there is no change to your account number, you may continue using your existing checks and deposit slips until they are gone.
When it is time to reorder your checks, you may do so at CadenceBank.com/Checks or your local branch.
If you received notice that your account number will change, you will receive a complimentary book of new checks with your new Cadence Bank account number and should begin using those on or after October 14, 2025. For future orders, you will need to reorder checks with your new Cadence Bank account number. Checks that are in circulation prior to the system conversion will post to your account without a problem.
Fraud Awareness
During transition, you will receive a number of customer communications to keep you informed of changes that may impact you. Unfortunately, cybercriminals could try to seize this opportunity for fraudulent attempts to gain access to your information. Even the most diligent customers can become victims of fraud by clicking on an email link or opening an attachment that appears to be from Cadence Bank. In addition, cybercriminals may target customers with phone calls, presenting themselves as a Cadence Bank teammate asking for personal information.
To protect yourself against potentially fraudulent activities, please be aware of the following:
- Cadence Bank will never contact you by mail, phone, text or email requesting or asking you to verify your account numbers, Online Banking password, Social Security number, or debit card PIN. If you’re unsure of an email, text or call received, do not respond and immediately contact Customer Service at 888-797-7711.
- Be suspicious of any written or verbal communication asking for account or personal information to be provided immediately. Scammers frequently use this sense of urgency to trick unknowing customers.
- Use caution before opening links that may lead to a fake webpage asking you to enter your banking information. Often the fake webpages look similar to the bank’s website but may contain typos or other obvious mistakes.
- Don’t allow anyone to use your account for financial transfers. Fraudsters know how to use wire transfers, Zelle® and third-party peer-to-peer apps for fraudulent activities. Only pay those you know and trust through Zelle® and other peer-to-peer payment apps.
For tips and more information about Fraud Awareness, visit CadenceBank.com/Fraud.

FDIC Coverage
Your deposit accounts continue to be insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Special FDIC insurance coverage rules apply if you held deposit accounts at one or more of the six acquired banks and Cadence Bank at the time of legal merger on July 1, 2025. The FDIC’s separate insurance of acquired bank deposits assumed by Cadence Bank continues for six months from July 1, 2025, or, in the case of a time deposit, the earliest maturity date after the six-month period. In the case of time deposits which mature within six months of July 1, 2025, and which are renewed at the same dollar amount (either with or without accrued interest having been added to the principal amount) and for the same term as the original deposit, the separate insurance applies to the renewed deposits until the first maturity date after January 1, 2026. Time deposits that mature before January 1, 2026, and that are renewed on any other basis, or that are not renewed and thereby become demand deposits, are separately insured only until January 1, 2026. For additional information, visit FDIC.gov and search “Merger of IDIs”.
